Our technicians are valuable members of The Cat Doctor team, they provide quality care to the cats of Portland and have fun while doing it! All team members should love cats as much as we do! We are looking for an experienced technician that is confident in exam rooms supporting veterinarians with medical care.

Veterinary technicians are under the direct guidance and supervision of the Chief of Staff and the Hospital Manager.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Handle all our patients in a Cat Friendly way, especially our patients who would prefer to decline their appointments.
- Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas. Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
- Gather detailed histories for each patient. Perform physical assessments and record your observations.
- Pharmacy skills, including protocols for filling in-house
- Assist the Veterinarian in medical, surgical, and dental procedures. Standard veterinary technician responsibilities: including phlebotomy, vaccination, nail trims, rooming appointments and assisting doctors with those appointments, surgical monitoring and dentistry (prophy and dental radiography).
