Rosedale Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team. We are a growing, full-service hospital serving our community in North-Central Austin and surrounding areas. At Rosedale Veterinary Clinic, our emphasis is on quality and compassionate care.
We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of one year of experience, who possesses a desire and motivation to grow, learn and be part of a collaborative veterinary care team. Our ideal candidate would have the following experience/skills/knowledge:
- Humane & compassionate animal restraint
- Venipuncture & sample collection
- IV catheter placement & management
- Radiology: positioning, technique & restraint
- Surgery: equipment & patient preparation, surgical assistance
- Dentals: radiographs, scaling, polishing
- Anesthesia: sedation, induction, monitoring & maintenance, and recovery
- Wellness & preventative care: vaccines, testing, and parasite preventatives
- Pharmacy: general medication knowledge, handling & dispensing
- Drug calculations
- Medical records management
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent communication skills
- Emotional intelligence
- Professional demeanor
