Position Details

  • Role: Veterinary Technician/Assistant
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: $17 – $19 per hour (depending on experience
  • Schedule: 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday and some Saturdays

Valley Veterinary Hospital is looking for a veterinary assistant or veterinary technician to add to its dedicated team. Working together to establish and uphold the highest standards of patient care, we believe that to care for our patients, we must also care for each other. We are an AAHA accredited, six-doctor general practice providing high-quality care to dogs and cats. As a veterinary assistant and/or technician at VVH, we are seeking someone who will fit perfectly into our welcoming environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and deliver outstanding care to pets and their families. Routine duties include detailed note/history taking, following vaccine protocols, running lab work, assisting in taking digital radiographs, housekeeping, aseptic techniques, preventative care, client education and nursing. Other skills such as anesthetic monitoring and venipuncture are a plus, but not a requirement.

 

We are looking for a candidate with excellent client service and communication skills, including adequate ability to work alongside other assistants and technicians. Prior animal handling experience is preferred, especially if in a clinic setting.
