Position Overview:
We are seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician who is passionate about preventative medicine and client education. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and skilled in both technical duties and client communication. This role is vital to ensuring that our patients receive outstanding wellness care and that pet owners feel confident and informed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer core and lifestyle vaccines according to patient age, history, and risk factors
  • Educate clients on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention options and protocols
  • Prepare, calculate, and administer medications under veterinarian direction
  • Assist in routine wellness exams, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Draw blood and collect samples for lab testing
  • Discuss treatment plans, diagnostics, and wellness care with clients in a clear, compassionate manner
  • Advocate for patients by ensuring they receive appropriate preventive and medical care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and follow clinic protocols
  • Support other areas of the hospital as needed, including assisting with procedures or inventory

Required Qualifications:

  • Active certification/licensure as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, RVT)
  • Solid understanding of preventive care and common veterinary medications
  • Skilled in client education and communication
  • Confident with vaccine protocols, parasite prevention, and medication preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Passion for patient advocacy and client service

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a small animal general practice setting
  • Familiarity with veterinary software systems (e.g, Cornerstone, etc.)
  • Bilingual a plus (but not required)
