Who we are:

Oaks Veterinary Hospital is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Veterinary Technician to join our growing veterinary practice in Gainesville, FL. This is an exciting opportunity to help rebuild and shape the future of a practice that’s passionate about excellent client service and compassionate care for pets. 

 

We are currently a one-doctor practice, and we’re looking for someone who’s excited to be part of our journey as we expand. Our ideal candidate is someone with an upbeat attitude, a passion for pets, and a dedication to providing exceptional service while enhancing the client experience.  

 

Here, you’ll play a key role in providing outstanding service, fostering positive relationships with clients and patients. If you have at least two years of experience in the veterinary field and are excited about supporting a team and building client loyalty, we want to hear from you! 

  

Successful candidates will be ready to contribute with: 

  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint 
  • Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines 
  • Competency in emergency and surgical care  
  • Diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy and sample collection, and in-house lab work 
  • Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff.  
  • Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions. 

 

  

Schedule: 

  • Full-time, 4 days a week to start (schedule may change as the clinic grows).
