Veterinary Assistant

Position: Veterinary Assistant 

Employment Type: Full-Time 

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in a veterinary hospital or clinic setting 

Compensation: $18 to $21 per hour depending on experience

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in the veterinary field and a passion for providing excellent care to pets and their families. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Assisting veterinarians during exams and procedures 

• Handling and restraining animals safely and compassionately 

• Preparing exam rooms and surgical areas 

• Administering medications as directed 

• Performing basic laboratory tests and sample collection 

• Providing client education and support 

• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the hospital 

Our Veterinary Assistants must be willing to:   

• Ask for help and offer help to others  

• Be positive! Because with the right cattitude, anything is pawsible  

• Be empathetic to our clients, your team members, and yourself 

• Don’t stop believing (or retrieving, as your dog would say)  

• Listen to our clients as they explain why their dog or cat is the best one that has ever lived
