Who we are:

Hospital Manager – Lake Shore Pet Hospital | Pasadena, MD
Lake Shore Pet Hospital, a well-established and AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Pasadena, MD, is seeking a Hospital Manager to lead our compassionate and community-focused team and oversee the daily operations of our growing hospital.
Since 2016, our 3-doctor practice has been committed not only to delivering high-quality veterinary care, but also to giving back—partnering with organizations such as Miri's Haven Senior Rescue, Operation 4 Paws, Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, and Mid-Atlantic German Shepherd Rescue.

As the Hospital Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital. This is a hands-on leadership position, working closely with our Chief of Staff to guide a high-performing team. The role combines on-the-floor support with administrative oversight and strategic management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the hospital to ensure efficiency and a positive client experience
  • Support the clinical team with technician duties as needed to ensure smooth workflows and patient care
  • Monitor the financial health of the practice, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, safety standards, and hospital protocols
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that aligns with our mission and values
  • Lead staff recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management, and professional development

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Veterinary technician or veterinary support background, with a thorough understanding of hospital operations
  • Experience with veterinary practice management systems (e.g., AVImark, Cornerstone, ezyVet)
  • Proven leadership and management experience, ideally within a veterinary or medical setting
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience with KPIs and strategic growth
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and quality patient care

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 30 hours per week, with preference for candidates available up to 35 hours
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving hospital hours, including some evenings and weekends
