The Castro Animal Hospital (TCAH) is a busy five-doctor hospital located in the bustling Castro/Duboce neighborhood on Church St. near Duboce Park. Muni is only feet away! There is a high demand for veterinary care in the Castro and surrounding communities. Our team strives to fulfill this demand with the highest quality of care.

The ideal candidate is proficient in the following areas:

• Dog and Cat restraint
• I.V catheter placement
• Venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, medial/lateral saphenous)
• Running in-house IDEXX lab work
• Radiography
• Familiarity with veterinary pharmacology
• Calculating medication doses
• Administering medications via all routes
• Inducing Anesthesia (R.V.T.)
• Intubating (R.V.T.)
• Surgical monitoring
• Client communication and education (excellent written and verbal skills)
• Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to decipher medical records
