Primary Responsibilities
You’ll support our veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including:
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Dental cleanings and digital dental radiographs
- Placement and management of IV catheters, fluid pumps, and CRI medications
- Collecting and running lab samples (blood, urine, cultures)
- Patient care for hospitalized and intensive care patients
- Radiographs and ultrasound support, including cystocentesis and focal ultrasound
- Performing nerve blocks and preparing for surgical procedures
- Operating and assisting with advanced imaging equipment (e.g., HDVI CT)
- Client communication: intake, discharge, education, and follow-ups
- Conduct technician appointments
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in NYS, in good standing
- Graduate of an AAS in Veterinary Technology (minimum)
- Proficient in venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia, and dentistry
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Comfortable handling a variety of species (including exotics and farm animals a plus)
- Respectful and professional in end-of-life situations
- Flexibility in scheduling when needed
