Veterinary Technician

Rosedale Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team.  We are a growing, full-service hospital serving our community in North-Central Austin and surrounding areas.  At Rosedale Veterinary Clinic, our emphasis is on quality and compassionate care.

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of one year of experience, who possesses a desire and motivation to grow, learn, and be part of a collaborative veterinary care team.  

Our ideal candidate would have the following experience/skills/knowledge:

• Humane & compassionate animal restraint
• Venipuncture & sample collection
• IV catheter placement & management
• Radiology: positioning, technique & restraint
• Surgery: equipment & patient preparation, surgical assistance
• Dentals: radiographs, scaling, polishing
• Anesthesia: sedation, induction, monitoring & maintenance, and recovery
• Wellness & preventative care: vaccines, testing, and parasite preventatives
• Pharmacy: general medication knowledge, handling & dispensing
• Drug calculations
• Medical records management
• Excellent customer service
• Excellent communication skills
• Emotional intelligence
• Professional demeanor
