We’re looking for a Medical Support Staff Manager to help guide, grow, and support our amazing team of Veterinary Assistants and Technicians. This is a key leadership role where you’ll collaborate with hospital managers, shift leads, and support staff to create an environment where everyone thrives—and where patient care is always top-notch.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Participate in interviews and working interviews to help identify strong new hires
  • Lead onboarding and hands-on training for new VAs and RVTs
  • Evaluate skill levels and help guide performance improvements
  • Partner with HMs to conduct annual reviews and corrective actions if needed
  • Support shift leads in fostering a positive, productive work environment
  • Collaborate with HMs to organize monthly CE topics and learning opportunities
  • Help design and implement an in-hospital mentorship program
  • Work alongside leadership to create a tech externship program for students
  • Manage support staff schedules and help fill in coverage gaps when needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current Licensed RVT in Missouri
  • At least 5 years of experience as a licensed RVT
  • Prior experience in a leadership or management role
  • Background in small animal general practice and emergency
  • Experience with emergency surgery is a plus
  • A team player who genuinely enjoys teaching and mentoring
  • Positive, go-getter attitude with a love for veterinary medicine and people
