Animal Care and Wellness Center is an ever-growing, two-doctor small animal practice looking for an outstanding and responsible individual to join our team – our ohana – as a full-time Veterinary Technician or Assistant. - Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a veterinary clinic, daycare, or similar animal care environment is highly desired (but we will consider candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn).
As a Veterinary Technician or Assistant at Animal Care and Wellness Center, you will be an integral part of our medical team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinarians in providing high-quality patient care – helping with physical examinations, dental procedures, vaccinations, and even compassionate end-of-life care.
- Performing technical tasks that improve the efficiency of our doctors, allowing them to focus on diagnostics and treatment (e.g. preparing lab samples, running tests, administering medications).
- Educating pet owners on wellness, preventive care, and treatment plans, empowering them to provide the best care for their furry family members.
- Supporting clinic operations by helping with marketing initiatives, managing inventory, and keeping medical records organized.
- Collaborating with the team: Working closely with veterinarians, front desk staff, and fellow technicians/assistants to ensure smooth, coordinated patient care and excellent client service.
- Maintaining high standards: Upholding strong technical skills and safe animal-handling practices, while demonstrating outstanding organizational and communication skills in a busy environment.
