Veterinary Technician Needed!
Part-time Veterinary Technician needed to join our team! We are looking for an experienced or licensed tech to work 1-2 days per week, with the potential for more. The ideal candidate is a responsible team player with good attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication skills.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Starting appointments for our veterinarians, taking history, interacting with clients and patients
- Experience with blood draws and handling of samples using both in-house equipment and prepping samples for our outside laboratory.
- Slide preparation and cytology
- Giving medications, performing treatments on the orders of the veterinarian, and assisting them as needed in appointments.
- Taking x-rays as directed, submitting them for external consult as ordered.
- Surgical monitoring, patient prep, including catheter placement, and assisting the surgeon as needed.
- Dental prophy
- Handling Technician appointments, giving vaccines, nail trims, or performing follow-up treatment such as bandage changes.
- Assisting the receptionists with check-ins and check-outs, including talking to clients upon surgery discharge as needed.
