Penny Paws Arlington is ready to hire a Part-time, weekends only, veterinary technician for our mobile vaccine clinic. A successful candidate will be a reliable, detail-oriented person who loves animals and wants to join our team and assist with weekend vaccine clinics. This role involves preparing vaccines, managing supplies, and ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of mobile clinic sites
- Prepare vaccine stations with necessary supplies and documentation
- Verify patient information and assist with the intake process
- Maintain vaccine cold chain (storage temperature) as needed
- Sanitize and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and workstations
- Support healthcare staff during clinic hours
- Communicate professionally with patients and team members
- Follow all safety and confidentiality protocols
Requirements:
- Availability on weekends (Saturday and Sunday)
- Previous experience in healthcare, public health, or vaccination clinics preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Comfortable working outdoors and standing for long periods
