Job Summary:
The Veterinary Technician / Assistant supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. They begin the examination procedure and continue to assist the doctor throughout the examination, diagnosis and treatment phases. They have a very significant role in communicating with and educating clients about their pets.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in diagnostic equipment and lab work/ability to learn
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency with computer software(s)
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently
- Experience with Avian and Exotics a plus but not mandatory.
- Surgical experience a plus, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with radiographs/Ultrasounds/patient imaging
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgeries
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments to animals
- Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
- Provide exceptional patient care and client communication
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and equipment
- Greet and assist clients with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication
- Maintain accurate and organized records
- Provide general administrative support to the team
