All Of Our Team Members Should be Ready To:
- Maintain and provide the highest degree of patient & client service/care
- Consult and educate clients on available services and best practices to ensure animal health
- Assist Veterinarians with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and client education per hospital policy
- Perform initial evaluation of the pet’s and advise doctor regarding nature of visit, preventative care due and client concerns
- Perform procedures and treatments (IV Catheter placement, blood draws, radiographs, laboratory procedures, ETC….)
- Admit, discharge assess, walk feed, clean, medicate patients, and recognizing contagious disease
- Responsible for safely holding and restraining animals
- Multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain knowledge of drugs and their uses, a clean, organized, and stocked hospital
Preferred Requirements for an entry-level position:
- 1+ years of Experience in the Veterinary industry, High school diploma, GED certificate,
- Availability to work minimum of 36-40 hours weekly, weekends, and holidays
- Withstand unpleasant odors and noises
- Be Reliable, Positive, Empathetic and Optimistic, On Time, and Professional in appearance
- Must be dependable, demonstrate strong work ethic, excellent time/task management, excellent written/spoken communications/medical documentation skills, and willingness to learn
- Must be able to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment and respond quickly and calmly to emergencies
- Self-starter that takes initiative, excellent communication skills, and working harmoniously with teammates, and clients
- Must be comfortable carrying, restraining animals of all sizes, lifting up to 50lbs and walking or standing for extended periods of time
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 7:00-6:00, Saturday 7:30-12:00
