Ready for a Veterinary Career That Leaves Room for a Life Outside of Work?

Tired of hearing about work-life balance but never actually seeing it? Looking for a fresh environment where people are excited to come to work, bring their funky selves, and encourage you to do the same? The leadership team at The Pet Doctors of Sherman Oaks wants to talk!

We’re a five-doctor practice with a well-established support staff committed to providing unparalleled patient care. From Bernedoodles to Bengals, our patients benefit from digital radiography, ultrasound, advanced dental equipment, cold laser, and expert veterinary medicine.

But great medicine is only part of who we are. We’re a supportive team that believes you should be able to bring your authentic self to work. Want to show us the sweater you just knitted for your cat? Please do. Need a midday sing-along? We’ll harmonize.

Why Our Veterinary Technicians Love It Here

  • Four-day workweeks
  • Flexible scheduling that supports a healthy work-life balance
  • No nights or on-call shifts
  • Regular lunch breaks
  • Mentoring and support from your team
  • A five-doctor practice with an established support staff
  • Modern equipment to support high-quality patient care
  • Occasional coffee runs, ice cream parties, and meals on us
  • A workplace where compassion, personality, and authenticity are welcome

We take our medicine seriously, but that doesn’t mean we have to take ourselves seriously every minute of the day.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

Our Veterinary Technicians are an important part of delivering the exceptional medicine and patient care our clients expect. You’ll work alongside our doctors and support staff while utilizing the hospital’s advanced tools and resources, including:

  • Digital radiography
  • Ultrasound
  • Advanced dental equipment
  • Cold laser technology

Just as importantly, you’ll bring compassion and empathy to your interactions with patients, clients, and teammates while helping our hospital provide the high level of care our community depends on.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for an experienced or licensed Veterinary Technician who is passionate about pets, veterinary medicine, and being part of a supportive team.

You should be ready to:

  • Let your passion for pets and veterinary care shine every day
  • Bring positivity to work—because with the right cattitude, anything is pawsible
  • Show empathy and compassion toward clients and team members
  • Work collaboratively with your veterinary team
  • Treat yourself and your teammates with kindness
  • Bring your authentic personality to work
  • Withstand plenty of puppy kisses and kitty headbutts
  • Laugh! Life is short; smile while you still have teeth

The Extras You’ll Actually Feel

We believe work-life balance should show up on your actual schedule—not just in a job ad. Four-day workweeks, scheduling flexibility, regular lunch breaks, and no nights or on-call shifts help make room for life outside the hospital.

Inside the hospital, you’ll have mentoring and support from a team that wants you to succeed. You’ll also have access to professional development and continuing education opportunities that can help you keep building your veterinary career.

And some days, the extras really are coffee runs, ice cream parties, meals on us, cat sweaters, and spontaneous sing-alongs. Bring your skills, your passion, and your funky self. We’ll take it from there.
