Position Details

Role: Registered Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive and based on experience and skill set
Schedule: 4 days per week with rotating Saturdays 
Requirements: Registered Veterinary Technician credential; safe and effective patient handling and restraint; anesthesia monitoring experience; surgical assisting and patient nursing care experience; and the ability to accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories

What Our Veterinary Technicians (RVT) Do

As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in delivering compassionate, high-quality care throughout each patient’s visit. You’ll:

• Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Provide compassionate nursing care from intake through discharge
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs during procedures
• Support anesthesia induction and recovery
• Assist with surgical procedures and provide appropriate patient nursing care
• Maintain accurate patient and medical records
• Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques to help keep patients safe and comfortable
