Position Details

Role: Certified Veterinary Technician 
Status: Full-Time
Salary: Flexible hourly rate based on experience
Schedule: 4 days per week with rotating Saturdays
Requirements: Strong communication and organizational skills, a good work ethic, and the physical ability to stand, kneel, squat, and lift up to 35 pounds

What Veterinary Technicians (CVT)  Do

As a Certified Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an active role in patient care and the practice's daily operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting exam room appointments and patient care
• Performing laboratory-related duties within your training and experience
• Preparing patients and the clinical area for surgery
• Assisting with dentistry
• Monitoring anesthesia
• Placing IV catheters and performing phlebotomy
• Educating clients with friendliness, clarity, and compassion
• Assisting with reception responsibilities as needed
• Maintaining clean, organized patient-care and work areas
• Providing compassionate care to clients and patients
• Collaborating with the veterinary team to support thorough, high-quality medicine
• Continuing to learn and develop your technical skills

You’ll bring:

• Veterinary technician certification or veterinary assistant experience appropriate for the role
• Great communication and people skills

• Comfort working with both people and animals
• Friendliness and compassion when caring for patients and interacting with clients
• IV catheter placement and phlebotomy skills
• A willingness to learn and develop additional technical skills
• The ability to help in different areas of the practice when needed
• The physical ability to stand, kneel, squat, and lift up to 35 pounds as required to perform the position
