Role: Veterinary Assistant & PM Boarding Attendant
Status: Full-Time
Salary: $20–$21 per hour
Schedule: 4 days per week afternoons/evenings with occasional weekend boarding shifts

Weymouth Landing Cat Clinic is a three-doctor, feline-only hospital in Weymouth, Massachusetts, where progressive medicine meets a genuine love of cats. Our team is cross-trained in everything from boarding and surgery to our radioactive iodine program and plenty in between. What You’ll Do

• Run appointments alongside our veterinarians and support efficient patient flow
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by the veterinary team
• Handle and restrain feline patients confidently and compassionately with an emphasis on reducing stress
• Provide diligent evening care for boarding patients, including feeding, cleaning, comfort, and observation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for boarding patients
• Monitor patients closely and report changes in behavior, health, or condition
• Perform venipuncture and collect patient samples
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographic images
• Operate in-house laboratory equipment and assist with diagnostic testing
• Provide attentive daily nursing and patient care
• Maintain clean and organized treatment and patient-care areas
• Keep laundry and other essential hospital tasks moving throughout the day
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and fellow team members
• Follow task-based worklists to ensure responsibilities and communications are completed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and patient records in the practice management system
• Protect client confidentiality and follow hospital policies and procedures
• Collaborate with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, client care specialists, and other team members to maintain an efficient workflow and high standard of care
