Position Details

Role: Experienced Veterinary Technician – Overnight
Status: Part-time
Salary: $28 - $32 per hour, based on experience and skill set 
Schedule: Tuesday overnight shift 8:00 pm - 8:00 am
Requirements: Previous veterinary technician experience required; must be comfortable working independently and providing overnight care with a high degree of autonomy

We’re an established, well-equipped, progressive, AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital looking for an Overnight shift Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team for our Tuesday overnight shift.

While our hospital is not open to the public 24 hours a day, our commitment to our patients never stops. We provide 24/7 nursing care for hospitalized and boarding pets, and our overnight technician plays an essential role in keeping those patients safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the night.

This position is ideal for an experienced technician who is confident working independently, has excellent judgment and a strong work ethic, and takes pride in providing attentive patient care when the rest of the hospital is quiet.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

• Provide attentive overnight nursing care for hospitalized and boarding patients
• Monitor patients throughout the shift and recognize changes in their condition
• Perform prescribed treatments and patient-care tasks
• Ensure patients remain safe, clean, comfortable, and appropriately cared for overnight
• Follow established treatment plans and hospital protocols
• Maintain accurate patient information and treatment documentation
• Keep patient-care areas clean, organized, and ready for the medical team
• Use sound judgment and technical knowledge while working independently
• Communicate important patient updates and concerns to the appropriate members of the veterinary team
