We’re a three-doctor small animal hospital in Charlotte, NC, offering a wide variety of cases including exotics, dentistry, acupuncture, and more. We’ve been AAHA-accredited since 1998 and are known in the community for our holistic approach, high-quality medicine, and client education.

What Our Veterinary Assistant Do
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
- Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and more
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Monitor patients under anesthesia
- Accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories
- Educate and communicate with clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care
- Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, wound care, and more
- Maintain clean and well-stocked treatment and exam areas
- Follow established infection control protocols
- Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow team members to provide compassionate, efficient patient care
What Our Veterinary Assistant Bring
- Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience
- Solid technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring
- The ability to accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories
- Strong time management and organizational skills to help keep the day running smoothly
