Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: $18 per hour - negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour shifts & every other Saturday

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

  • Assist Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians with patient care and treatment
  • Safely restrain pets during examinations and treatments using best practices
  • Keep kennel areas clean, comfortable, and welcoming for hospitalized pets
  • Prepare medications accurately
  • Update electronic patient records and document care provided
  • Assist with answering phones
  • Communicate with clients about their pets' visits and care

What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring

  • At least two years of excellent customer service experience, both in person and over the phone, is strongly preferred
  • Experience with multi-line phone systems is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to adapt your communication style to different clients and situations
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests
  • Comfort with technology and the ability to learn new software quickly
  • A positive attitude and desire to be part of a fun, supportive team
