Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Part-time
Salary: Competitive and based on experience
Schedule: 1-2 x 5 hour shifts ; 1 x 10 hour shift with Rotating Saturdays

What Our Veterinary Assistants Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll be an important part of the Auburn Animal Hospital team, supporting our patients, veterinarians, and fellow team members throughout the day.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care
  • Providing compassionate and attentive care to patients
  • Helping safely handle and restrain animals
  • Preparing examination and treatment areas
  • Supporting examinations, treatments, and procedures
  • Helping maintain clean, organized patient care areas
  • Communicating clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Supporting an efficient daily hospital workflow
  • Working collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and other support staff
  • Learning and developing new veterinary skills
  • Asking questions when you need help
  • Stepping in to support teammates when they need a hand
  • Helping create a positive experience for pets and their people
