Your Skills Deserve to Be Used

Looking for a veterinary practice where technicians and assistants are trusted, supported, and encouraged to use the skills they’ve worked hard to develop? Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic may be exactly what you’re looking for.

We’re seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated and outgoing team.

Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic is a five-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice in the heart of Silicon Valley. Our team works between two practices: our main clinic and our FelineVMA Gold Certified cat clinic. Our stand-alone cat clinic features dedicated feline-only doctors and is one of the many things that makes working here unique.

We have a strong technician-driven workflow and team-based care model where our patients and their people always come first. RVTs and Veterinary Assistants are encouraged to contribute at the highest level appropriate to their experience, credentials, and comfort.

For our Veterinary Assistants, that also means opportunities to grow in whatever direction inspires you—including potentially becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician.

Why Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Love It Here

We believe great veterinary medicine happens when everyone on the team can contribute.

At Sunnyvale Veterinary Clinic, you can look forward to:

  • Technicians and assistants who are trusted and fully utilized
  • A technician-driven workflow and collaborative care model
  • Opportunities for RVTs to lead client education and advanced nursing care
  • Opportunities for experienced Veterinary Assistants to participate in dentistry and anesthesia monitoring
  • Four 10-hour shifts
  • Consistent scheduling that supports work-life balance
  • Mentorship and training tailored to your experience level
  • Professional growth and skill development
  • Support for Veterinary Assistants interested in becoming RVTs
  • A supportive, low-drama team culture
  • Cat Friendly and Fear Free medicine
  • Opportunities to work alongside dedicated feline-only doctors
  • Experience working in both our main hospital and stand-alone cat clinic
  • Shout-out raffles recognizing team members
  • In-clinic games and competitions
  • Outside-of-work team events
  • A workplace that celebrates wins—big and small
