Status: Full-time
Salary: $21–$23 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Schedule will vary based on hospital needs,  including Saturdays

What  our Veterinary Technicians Do

As a Veterinary Technician at Pasadena Pets Vet Hospital, you'll play an essential role in providing compassionate, high-quality care while supporting our veterinarians, patients, clients, and fellow team members.

  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, treatments, procedures, and patient care
  • Obtain thorough patient histories and accurately record vital signs
  • Provide safe, compassionate patient handling and restraint
  • Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples
  • Place IV catheters and assist with fluid therapy
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
  • Assist with laboratory testing and diagnostic procedures
  • Prepare patients and treatment areas for medical and surgical procedures
  • Support anesthesia monitoring, patient recovery, and post-procedure care based on experience and training
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive healthcare
  • Utilize Fear Free and Feline Friendly techniques to help reduce patient stress whenever possible
  • Keep treatment and patient-care areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the day
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to maintain an efficient workflow
  • Jump in wherever needed to support patients, clients, and coworkers

What You'll Bring

  • Previous hands-on veterinary technician experience
  • Registered Veterinary Technician credentials are welcome
  • Confidence providing safe and compassionate patient care
