Role: Veterinary Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: $17.13 - $18.50 / hour
Schedule: Four-day workweeks. Weekends off. 
Experience: Previous veterinary medicine or client-care experience preferred
Work Location: In person

What You’ll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
  • Support surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care.
  • Obtain patient histories and accurately record vital signs.
  • Perform patient assessments and communicate concerns to the medical team.
  • Provide compassionate support and comfort to patients throughout their visits.
  • Educate clients with compassion, clarity, and confidence.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document care thoroughly.
  • Keep treatment and examination areas clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Work closely with teammates to maintain an efficient hospital workflow.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and supportive hospital culture.

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience in veterinary medicine or another client-care role.
  • Confidence with patient handling and basic veterinary technical skills, or a willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and professional approach to patients, clients, and teammates.

  • The ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
