Looking for a role where you can use both your customer service skills and your passion for hands-on veterinary care?
Plantation Animal Clinic in Louisville, Kentucky, is a growing four-doctor small animal practice looking for a versatile Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to join our team. We recently expanded our hospital with two additional exam rooms, a new treatment area, a dedicated dental space, and a procedure area — giving our team more room to do what we do best: provide excellent medicine and compassionate service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety. One moment you may be helping a client understand a doctor's recommendations, and the next you may be assisting with animal handling during an exam. If you enjoy working with both people and pets and want to be part of a team that truly supports one another, we'd love to meet you.

We also understand that predictable scheduling matters. That's why we offer two scheduling options designed to create consistency and support life outside of work.
Schedule Option One: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with a dedicated lunch break. During weeks when you work Saturday, you'll have Wednesday morning off.
Schedule Option Two: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with Tuesdays off and a dedicated lunch break. During weeks when you work Saturday, you'll have Wednesday morning off.
Saturday shifts rotate, and the hospital closes at noon, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the rest of your weekend. We do not work nights, Sundays, or holidays.
