Animal Hospital of Frisco is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our close-knit, family-oriented team. We're a three-doctor practice that combines exceptional medicine with a welcoming culture where teammates genuinely enjoy working together and supporting one another. What Our Veterinary Technicians Do
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
- Place IV catheters, perform venipuncture, and collect diagnostic samples
- Administer medications, pre-anesthetic drugs, and treatments as directed
- Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia patients
- Provide surgical nursing and perioperative patient care
- Perform dental prophylaxis and assist with dental procedures
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs
- Monitor hospitalized patients and provide inpatient and outpatient nursing care
- Process laboratory diagnostics and maintain accurate medical records
- Educate clients regarding medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions
- Assist compassionately with euthanasia procedures
- Collaborate closely with doctors, CSRs, and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- Previous veterinary technician experience
- Strong technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, catheter placement, and patient nursing
- Experience with radiology, laboratory diagnostics, and dental procedures
- Excellent patient handling and restraint skills
- Outstanding communication and client service abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to teamwork
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care and continuing to grow professionally
