Kingston Animal Hospital is looking for an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our fantastic team of compassionate veterinary professionals. We’re a well-established, six-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice committed to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

What You’ll Do
- Assist veterinarians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care
- Practice Fear Free and low-stress patient handling techniques
- Safely handle and restrain canine, feline, exotic, and pocket pet patients
- Support diagnostic testing and patient monitoring
- Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records
- Educate clients and clearly communicate veterinary recommendations
- Listen patiently as clients explain why their dog, cat, bird, or guinea pig is clearly the best one that has ever lived
- Explore and support services including acupuncture, holistic treatments, laser therapy, and behavior counseling
- Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
- Maintain a positive and supportive approach throughout the workday
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and efficient hospital environment
What You’ll Bring
- Previous veterinary technician experience or current veterinary technician licensure
- Strong patient care and veterinary technical skills
- A passion for pets and high-quality veterinary medicine
- Experience assisting with exams, treatments, and procedures
- Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient care
- Strong animal handling and restraint skills
- An interest in Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques
- Excellent client communication and education skills
