Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Three full days, one half day, every other Saturday. Part-time would be considered, also

Hayes Barton Animal Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. What You'll Do

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostics
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
  • Provide compassionate nursing care throughout each patient's visit
  • Educate clients about medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
  • Collaborate with teammates to provide exceptional patient care and client service

What You'll Bring

  • Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience
  • Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory procedures, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Confidence interpreting laboratory results and supporting patient care
