What You'll Do
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
- Provide compassionate nursing care from patient admission through discharge
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostics
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and dental procedures
- Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques whenever possible
- Anticipate doctors' needs to promote efficiency and teamwork
- Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate medical records while collaborating with the entire hospital team
