Position Details
Role: Experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-time (Approx. 32 hours/week)
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday with a rotating Sunday approximately once every 12 weeks; no nights

Barnesville Animal Clinic is a busy, three-doctor small animal practice committed to providing exceptional patient care while maintaining a positive, family-oriented workplace. What Our Veterinary Assistants & Technicians Do
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and in-house diagnostics
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and dental procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Educate clients on medications, preventive care, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
- Collaborate closely with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
What Our Veterinary Assistants & Technicians Bring
- A minimum of three years of experience in a small animal veterinary practice
- Confidence performing core technical skills with minimal supervision
- Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, laboratory procedures, and surgical assistance
- Strong communication, client service, and organizational skills
- Experience using veterinary practice management software; Avimark experience is a plus
- Positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to teamwork
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
- A genuine passion for veterinary medicine and a desire to continue learning and growing
