Position Details

Role: Veterinary Technician Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Approximately 35–38 hours per week, consisting of 4 full weekdays and one half-day every other Saturday

Animal and Bird Medical Center is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our compassionate and growing team. What You’ll Do

  • Provide daily patient care and husbandry for hospitalized patients
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations and procedures
  • Safely restrain and handle patients during treatments and diagnostics
  • Monitor patients during surgery and recovery
  • Assist with radiographs and diagnostic procedures
  • Prepare laboratory samples and support in-house testing
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
  • Answer phones and assist with scheduling appointments as needed
  • Support the veterinary team in delivering exceptional patient care

What Our Veterinary Assistants Bring

  • Previous experience in dog and cat veterinary medicine is required
  • Strong communication and client service skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine passion for animal care and patient well-being
  • Experience with birds and exotic pets is a plus, but not required—we are happy to train the right candidate
