St. Francis Animal Hospital is seeking an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our supportive team in North Huntingdon, PA. We’re proud of the medicine we practice, and we’re just as proud of the team that makes it happen.

What You’ll Do
- Triage patients and obtain thorough histories, vitals, and patient assessments
- Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care from intake through discharge
- Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
- Monitor anesthesia and support surgical and dental procedures
- Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, and wound care
- Educate clients on patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventive care
- Maintain clean, stocked treatment and exam areas while following infection control protocols
- Accurately document patient care, treatments, and client communication in the medical record
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- Experience as a Veterinary Technician or Licensed Veterinary Technician
- Safe and effective patient handling and restraint skills
- Knowledge of preventive care and vaccines
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring
- Solid technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
- Professional, compassionate communication with clients and team members
- Accurate and concise documentation of patient records and client interactions
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
- Desire to continue learning and growing within veterinary medicine
