What You’ll Do
- Safely handle and restrain patients during examinations and procedures
- Support preventive care, vaccinations, and patient wellness services
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
- Place IV catheters and provide preoperative patient care
- Obtain diagnostics including radiographs, phlebotomy, sample collection, and in-house laboratory testing
- Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and team members
- Maintain accurate patient records and client communications
- Refill medications and review instructions with pet owners
- Assist doctors and technicians with treatments and procedures
- Maintain clean, organized kennel, laundry, and treatment areas
- Restock supplies and support overall hospital operations
- Provide a calm, caring presence for pets and their families
What Our Veterinary Team Members Bring
- Previous Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician experience preferred
- Experience administering medications and handling patients safely
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain active throughout the workday
- CVT/LVT credentials are a plus but not required
- Dedication to continued learning and professional growth
