Role: Overnight Veterinary Technician / Technician Assistant
Status: Full-time
Salary: $23 - $28 per hour (depending on experience)
Schedule: 4 x 10-hour overnight shifts, 9:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; holidays and one weekend night required

Washington Blvd Animal Hospital is looking to add a full-time Overnight Veterinary Technician / Technician Assistant to our team. Under the management of the veterinarian and technician supervisor, this role helps provide quality patient care while supporting overall hospital operations.

What You’ll Do
- Follow digital treatment plans prescribed by DVMs
- Provide safe and effective patient handling and restraint
- Assist with emergency and surgical care, including IV catheter placement
- Obtain quality lab samples through venipuncture, cystocentesis, fecal collection, and other methods
- Perform in-hospital diagnostics including urinalysis, cytology, and lab sample processing
- Administer SQ, IM, and IV medications, injections, fluid therapy, and nursing care as directed
- Perform diagnostic radiographs
- Administer sedation for minor procedures as directed
- Administer and monitor general anesthesia when required
- Maintain accurate and complete digital medical records
- Use low-stress patient handling techniques
- Support blood transfusion protocols as needed
- Manage instrument sterilization, autoclave and EO use, and surgical supply inventory
- Maintain treatment areas, wards, laundry, and hospital cleanliness
- Follow infectious disease, medical waste, biomedical waste, and hospital safety protocols
