What You’ll Do as a Veterinary Assistant
- Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and procedures
- Support patient care including restraint, nursing care, and treatment assistance
- Help with laboratory testing, radiographs, and daily hospital tasks
- Prepare treatment and exam areas for patient care
- Assist with surgical and dental procedures as directed
- Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision
- Maintain accurate patient records and support daily hospital operations
