Position Details: 

Role:  Veterinary Technician/Assistant

Status:  Full-time

Salary:  $21.50 - $26.50 / hour

Schedule:  Wednesday through Saturday

We are a team-oriented, 5 -doctor practice of passionate professionals looking to add a Veterinary Technician to our crew who is proficient with anesthesia, performing dental prophylactic procedures, and taking dental radiographs.  At University Veterinary Hospital, we believe in a “better together” philosophy. We are at our best when we celebrate ourselves and each other, and as a result, both staff and patients flourish!  We are seeking an enthusiastic person to join our team!  RVT’s are preferred, but we will consider a candidate with 2+ years of solid technician experience.


Must be able to perform:

  • Animal restraint
  • SQ, IM, and IV injections
  • Venipuncture
  • IV catheter placement
  • Digital Radiography
  • In-house lab work
  • Nursing care
  • Client education
  • Anesthetic induction/monitoring/recovery
  • Surgical assisting
  • Dental prophylaxis and radiographs

 

Individual qualifications:

  • Must be computer savvy
  • Cornerstone software experience is a plus
  • Must have accuracy in medical records and dictation
  • Must have a great attitude and be very personable
  • Must be able to keep up in a fast-paced environment, with a smile on your face
  • Must be able to multitask and effectively triage
  • Must understand how to deal with difficult situations with tact and empathy
  • Must love animals and people alike!


This position is full-time.  Saturday work will be mandatory.  Salary is dependent upon experience.
