What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) (2+ years in a veterinary hospital setting preferred)
A solid understanding of animal handling, restraint, and low-stress techniques
Proficiency with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection
Experience assisting with anesthesia, monitoring, and recovery
Ability to perform laboratory testing and interpret basic results
Radiology experience (positioning, safety, and image capture)
Medication calculation, preparation, and administration skills
Familiarity with electronic medical records and practice management software
What You’ll Do
Assist veterinarians with patient exams, diagnostics, and treatments
Obtain patient histories and perform initial assessments
Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and sample collection
Run in-house laboratory tests and prepare samples for reference labs
Prepare, administer, and monitor medications and vaccines
Assist with anesthesia, surgery, and post-operative recovery
Take and process radiographs following safety protocols
Provide high-quality nursing care and monitor hospitalized patients
Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, and at-home care
Accurately document patient care in medical records
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of treatment areas and equipment
