  • Schedule: Monday through Friday

The Pet Doctor in Lakewood is looking to add a passionate animal lover to its team! The right person for the job should not only love animals, but enjoy staying busy, be highly motivated, able to multi-task and appreciate forming positive relationships with clients and co-workers. We are a small animal practice that promotes teamwork, personal growth, and providing high quality care to all our patients. We value work/life balance, so we are closed weekends! We have been serving pets and their owners in the Lakewood community for over 50 years and value our relationships with our patients and their families. We also have mentoring and support as you grow and advance your career.
 
What You’ll Do:
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Safely restrain animals for examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and assist with basic patient care
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples as directed
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment notes
  • Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
  • Communicate professionally with pet owners and assist with client education
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinic environment
 
What We’re Looking For:
  • 1+ years of Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary clinic experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • A team-oriented attitude and genuine compassion for animals
