  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Occasional Saturdays (8 am - noon)

Portage Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician who wants to feel truly valued as a professional. We’re looking for a technician with clinical experience and/or an active Certified Veterinary Technician license. Strong applicants with proven hands-on skills are also encouraged to apply. Experience with AviMark and IDEXX diagnostic platforms is an advantage and will help you step into our workflow with confidence.

 

This position is structured as a four-day workweek to support work–life balance and consistent scheduling.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
  • Experience in monitoring anesthesia 
  • Emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement
  • Obtaining diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy, and sample collection, and performing in-house lab work
  • Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff
  • Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
  • Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
  • Maintain equipment, inventory, and supplies
  • Uphold all cleanliness and infection control standards
