- Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
- Schedule: Four-day workweeks, weekends off
Port Cities Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant/Client Care Specialist to join our compassionate, fast-paced team. This hybrid position will split time between hands-on patient care and front desk client service, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and working closely with both pets and people. We are a high-quality, full-service animal hospital, dedicated to providing excellent medical care and outstanding client experiences.
Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities include:
- Feeding and helping care for hospitalized patients
- Rooming appointments and obtaining patient weights
- Cleaning cages, kennels, exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites, as well as some general janitorial duties
- Sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean, organized clinical environment
- Assisting Veterinarians and CVTs (as needed) during exams, vaccinations, lab work, and radiographs
- Record patient vitals and documentation as needed
- Stock exam rooms and treatment areas
Client Care Specialist Responsibilities include:
- Manage multiple phone lines and schedule appointments
- Check voicemail and email, and relay requests to CVTs and DVMs
- Process payments and maintain accurate client records
- Assist with pulling, organizing, and filing medical records
- Maintain a clean, welcoming reception area, including completing some light janitorial duties
- Help coordinate communication between doctors, technicians, and clients
- Assist fellow CCS team members as needed
Qualifications include:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Compassion, empathy, and a positive team-oriented attitude
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- This is a full-time position with schedule ranging Monday-Friday and potential for some Saturday rotation.
