Position Details

  • Role: Experienced Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Must be able to work a flexible schedule, 30-40 hours per week with occasional overtime if necessary; Start time varies between 7:00AM to 8:00 AM; end of day is typically between 5:30PM and 6:00PM

As we continue to grow, we are looking to add a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to our team! We are dedicated to active learning and advanced medical procedures and our Technicians play an integral role in providing excellent medical care to our patients and customer service to our clients.

 

Job Responsibilities
This position is responsible for assisting the busy 7 doctor small animal practice. Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, performing an initial evaluation of the animal's condition, clean and wrap wounds, check vital statistics, collect samples, and administer medication. You may also be responsible for performing basic lab work and may assist with procedures.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Veterinary Technician Certification coupled with a minimum of 1 year of Veterinary Technician or Assistant experience. This person must be able to work well in a team environment, be highly motivated and detail oriented. Riverside Animal Hospital is willing to provide the training for this position. Candidates with animal handling experience (volunteering, animal grooming, boarding, etc.) are also encouraged to apply.
