Position Details

  • Role: Certified Veterinary Technician or Assistant
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: $15 – $27 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Schedule: 4 days a week, around 37 hours per week, no weekends

Certified Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants are the backbone of our pet healthcare team. Are you a CVT or an aspiring veterinary technician that would like to get some experience as a veterinary assistant? Maybe you have your animal science or biology degree and want some in-clinic experience before applying to veterinary school? Then we would love to talk to you! Kelley Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time CVT or Veterinary Assistant for our multi-doctor practice in the northern-suburbs, located between Shoreview and Blaine. Veterinary assistant applicants preferably should have at least 1 year experience working in an animal setting or corresponding secondary degree. Main responsibilities include: checking-in and managing appointments, animal restraint, filling prescriptions, and reception work. CVTs would have further responsibilities. Applicants must be compassionate, team oriented, positively engaged, client focused, and be able to learn from mistakes.   • Must be compassionate

  • Is able to learn from mistakes
  • Ideally has 1+ years veterinary clinic experience
  • Has good listening and critical thinking skills
  • Has the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Is comfortable with computers and technology and can learn multiple computer programs
  • Works well with others and can take direction well
  • Ideally i,s familiar with veterinary clinic software such as Avimark
  • Is comfortable in a fast paced environment
  • Pay is based on experience, hours, and availability.
