  • Salary: Up to $18.00 per hour depending on experience
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday

Brookside Veterinary Clinic, a high quality, 3 doctor practice located in Auburn, NY is seeking a full time Veterinary Assistant to join our hospital team. Our goal is to provide the finest quality care over the lifetime of our patients, and to establish a permanent bond between our clients and our amazing staff. Brookside Veterinary Clinic has won The Auburn Citizens “Best of the Region, Best Veterinarian” award 10+ years in a row!

 

As one of our amazing Veterinary Assistant’s, your responsibilities will be assisting veterinarians and Licensed Veterinary Technicians with:

  • Patient restraint. We practice fear-free techniques.
  • Taking appointments into exam rooms and obtaining patient history.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments.
  • Re-stocking exam rooms and treatment area.
  • Cleaning exam rooms, dog runs/cages and cat cages.
  • Maintaining overall cleanliness of the kennel and hospital.

 

You would also assist reception staff with:

  • Answering phone calls promptly, courteously, and professionally.
  • Utilizing a computer information system to schedule appointments and record patient history.
  • Checking in patients for exams.
  • Processing client payments.

 

Top priority will be given to applicants with previous veterinary experience.
