Opelika Animal Hospital is looking for a licensed veterinary technician/assistant to join our team! Our team consists of highly skilled veterinarians and staff. Together we have a combined 110 years of experience in veterinary medicine. Our knowledge and experience allow us to provide the best medical care for your pet. Loving and humane treatment of animals is our top priority, and we are committed to providing the treatment needed for your pet to live a long and happy life.

 

Job duties Include:

  • Certified/Licensed Vet Technician with Lead Tech Experience
  • Training experience for techs preferred
  • Assisting Veterinarians with surgeries, anesthesia monitoring, blood draws, catheter placement, running diagnostic tests, xrays and more
  • Knowledge of Cornerstone preferred
  • At least 2 years Licensed Tech experience

Requirements:

  • Previous experience caring for animals.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Physically fit and agile.
  • Capacity to lift to 50 pounds unaided.
  • A passion for animal welfare.
  • Available to work during evenings, on weekends and public holidays.
  • Previous experience as a veterinarian assistant.
