Position Details

  • Role: Veterinary Assistant
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: $16–$18 per hour
  • Schedule: Option for a 4 day a week or 5 day a week schedule and 1-2 Saturdays per month.

St. Francis Animal Hospital is a thriving 6 doctor small animal practice centrally located in Roseville, MN. We are seeking a friendly, customer and team focused Veterinary Assistant to join our outstanding team and help us provide compassionate care for our patients and clients.

 

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position - lifting, squatting, sitting/kneeling on floor, pushing/pulling, and extended standing and movement.

Job Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide excellent patient care and client service
  • Patient Restraint in exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Ensure hospital cleanliness and organization
  • Hospital laundry
  • Walking and feeding patients
  • Maintaining patient kennels
  • Awareness of patients’ emotional and physical well-being
  • Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments
  • Digital radiology procedures
  • Maintain medical records
  • Utilize hospital technology – AviMark, multiline phone system, email, voicemails, PetDesk, VetSource, and Slack
  • Other duties as assigned
