Position Details

  • Role: Lead Veterinary Technician
  • Status: Full-time
  • Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 a.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Rotating Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
  • Requirements: Veterinary Technician License

Countryside Veterinary Service in Champion is in search of a Lead Veterinary Technician. We are a busy, three-doctor practice in Champion, Ohio. We are a general practice, but function somewhat as an urgent care depending on the needs of our clients/community. Surgery is performed 4-5 days per week, and procedures vary from elective operations to emergency surgeries as needed.

Our Lead Veterinary Technician Will Contribute to The Team by:

  • Training new staff members
  • Assisting with scheduling
  • Managing staff interpersonal relationships 
  • Discussing issues with staff and working with management to ensure issues are addressed and appropriate action is taken
  • Encouraging a positive work environment and coming up with new ways to improve staff morale
  • Filling in for different departments as  needed
  • Assisting with equipment maintenance/understanding how equipment works and relaying to staff members. Meeting with reps as needed.
  • Controlled substance/expiration date surveillance
  • Other tasks as needed depending on the needs of the clinic
